Task Force Kickoff Meeting
The first MA Zero Net Energy Task Force meeting took place on July 10th, 2008. Massachusetts Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs (EEA) Secretary Ian Bowles (Chair of the ZNEB Task Force) joined Philip Giudice, Commissioner of the Department of Energy Resources (DOER); and David Cash, Assistant Secretary for Policy at EEA in welcoming building design, construction, and energy experts from the public, private, and non-profit sectors who attended the Task Force meeting.
The three leaders shared messages of enthusiasm and gratitude to the Task Force members for undertaking the exciting challenge ahead. The ZNEB Task Force is part of the Commonwealth's concerted effort to move towards a cleaner, more efficient energy future. Its formation represents an important window of opportunity, where the nexus of interest and need for progressive action on energy is helping to bring about decisive steps towards a more sustainable Massachusetts.
